Our Response to COVID-19

Dear Customers,

In these unprecedented and challenging times, we hope you and your family are healthy and safe. We are all in this together and our hearts go out to all those directly affected by the virus, as well as their families, friends and coworkers. 

At Toyota, we believe that by working together, we will help #flattenthecurve. We are doing our part and have taken action locally and across North America to protect our employees, customers, business partners and communities in which we operate. 

Our manufacturing plants

In North America, all of our production facilities are currently closed, and as much as possible, the people on our teams are working from home. For essential staff, we have implemented best practices of social distancing and other protective measures. 

Our call centers 

Rest assured, we remain committed to all our customers in this time of uncertainty. To serve you better, our call centers have remained open and have transitioned to working remotely. This, plus a higher call volume, may result in longer‑than‑usual wait times. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask you to bear with us while we work through this. Our dealers 

We recognize that many of you still need to be on the road. Our dealers continue to support their communities by keeping their doors open wherever possible. Many now offer online sales and home delivery. If you have questions about servicing or replacing your vehicle, contact your dealer for revised business hours or details about precautions they're taking to protect their staff and customers. Find your local dealer. 

To further assist eligible customers in need of a vehicle, we now have the option to defer payments for 90 (45 in PA) days on the purchase or lease of a new or Toyota Certified Used vehicle financed through participating Toyota dealers and Toyota Financial Services.1 Please note that interest is not waived and will continue to accrue during the deferral period. Our communities 

We are here to support you in whatever way we can. In addition to monetary donations, we are providing critical support for numerous initiatives across the country. These include meals for schoolchildren and the distribution of face shields and other personal protective equipment for first responders and medical personnel. 

As the situation continues to unfold, we are more certain than ever of the ability of the human spirit to overcome adversity. We are confident that in the days to come, we will find ourselves stronger, more resilient and more connected as a community.
